I would suppose those of us who trust and get burnt, do so because we tend by nature not to be intentionally deceitful, therefore do not recognize insincerity in others. My easy way of saying this is, I just can't think like a criminal.

Ha ha..husband tells me the same thing. I get into trouble All the time because I can never see past the fake smile and the fake words.
